Weather Summary for the U.S. Virgin Islands
National Weather Service San Juan PR
546 PM AST Sat Jul 8 2017

Partly cloudy skies prevailed across the U.S. Virgin Islands today
with en easterly wind at around 15 MPH with occasional gusts and a
maximum daytime temperature in the upper 80s to lower 90s. Mainly
fair weather prevailed but a few showers over the islands caused
trace amounts of rain.

Isolated to locally scattered showers are expected to continue
overnight around the U.S. Virgin Islands. The available moisture
will increase late tonight into Sunday as the former Tropical
Depression Four moves to the north of the islands and brings
additional moisture and a shift in the local winds to a
southeasterly direction. For that reason, Scattered showers and
isolated thunderstorms are expected around the islands starting
late tonight into Sunday.

Mariners should exercise caution across the offshore Atlantic
waters due to seas up to 6 feet. Winds are expected to be between
10 and 15 knots, elsewhere expect seas at 5 feet or below. There
is a moderate risk of rip currents along the beaches of northern
and eastern Saint Croix.
