BAR ATTORNEY RENEWAL FEE STRUCTURE:
The Board of Judges of the United States District Court, Middle District of Florida, amended the Court's policy on attorney renewals. Previously an attorney admitted as a member of the Bar of the Middle District of Florida was required to pay a membership renewal fee every three years. The collection of membership renewal fees is suspended until June 1, 2020. Effective June 1, 2020, a member of the Bar must pay a membership renewal fee of $15.00 every five years.

JUDGE COVINGTON'S UPDATED WEBSITE:
The Honorable Virginia M. Hernandez Covington has updated certain policies and procedures for civil and criminal cases. The updates are explained thoroughly on her website. Three principal changes are highlighted here. Counsel and pro se litigants are expected to comply with all Judge Covington's policies and procedures.

The Honorable Sheri Polster Chappell has updated certain policies and procedures for civil and criminal cases. The updates are explained thoroughly on her website. Three principal changes are highlighted here. Counsel and pro se litigants are expected to comply with all Judge Chappell's policies and procedures.

FOR ATTORNEYS:
Effective July 13, 2015, all attorneys submitting applications for Mediator certification with the United States District Court, Middle District of Florida, must use the Court's automated system. Please see Attorney Resources section of the website for more information.

When you provide a check as payment, you authorize us either to use information from your check to make a one-time electronic fund transfer from your account or to process the payment as a check transaction. When we use information from your check to make an electronic fund transfer, funds may be withdrawn from your account as soon as the same day you make your payment, and you will not receive your check back from your financial institution.
