Elimination of Three-Day Rule - Changes to Local Civil Rule 7.1 and Appendix B ¶ 14
December 1 2016

To conform with the “Three-Day Rule” amendments to the Federal Rules of Appellate, Civil, Criminal, and Bankruptcy Procedures which take effect on December 1, 2016, the Judges of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio approved amendments to Local Rule 7.1 and Appendix B ¶ 14. The amendments remove the extra three days to act after service by electronic means under FRCP 5(b)(2)(E).

Constitution Day 2016: New Citizens to Take Oath at Iconic Sites
September 12 2016

Students will participate in real-life civics lessons at naturalization ceremonies scheduled at National Park Service sites and other, iconic places from Ellis Island to Pearl Harbor, in celebration of Constitution Day and Citizenship Day on Friday, September 16. Some ceremonies, including the Ellis Island naturalization, can be viewed by livestream starting at 10:45 a.m. EDT on September 16 from uscourts.gov.
