As part of MRIP's work to improve recreational fishing statistics, NOAA Fisheries has implemented a new statistical method for calculating recreational catch estimates. New estimates for the Atlantic and Gulf Coasts going back to 2004 are now available.

 
Marine Recreational Information Program


If you have a saltwater recreational fishing license, permit or registration from any state or U.S. territory EXCEPT Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands, you are AUTOMATICALLY included in the federal registry and do not need to take further action. For those that need to register, there is non-refundable $15 registation fee for most people. Learn more.
