Fire Fighter 2013

Currently there are 2 certifications in the Fire Fighter (2013) series; Fire Fighter I and Fire Fighter II. They are both based on the latest NFPA standards and beginning Jan 1 2018 will fully replace the Fire Fighter I and II (2001) certification.

HOW TO APPLY

*Important - Candidates pursuing the Fire Fighter certification under the existing (2001) curriculum should apply using the FF (2001) application instructions found HERE.

Fire Fighter (2013) Application Instructions:

  1. Verify that you have met the certification guidelines
  2. Complete the application, capstone task book and attach all supporting and verification documentation.
  3. Print, complete and submit the SFT Certification Fee Schedule in addition to any associated fees.
  4. To ensure that your certification application package is complete, review that appropriate checklist below:

Fire Fighter I Reciprocity/Upgrade

 SFT now offers reciprocity for IFSAC and/or Pro Board Fire Fighter I certifications issued by another state or through Department of Defense. Information regarding reciprocity or if you are seeking to upgrade your California Fire Fighter I (2001 edition or newer) certification can be found on the Fire Fighter I Reciprocity webpage.
