Economic Development News

Warner Music Group

Warner Music Group, a globally recognized entertainment brand and music label, announced plans to expand in Nashville, Tenn. The music company plans to expand its U.S. finance team, creating 175 new jobs.

Cargill, Incorporated

Cargill, Incorporated., a worldwide provider of food, agriculture, financial and industrial products announced plans to open a new venture at the site of its current facility in Memphis, Tennessee. The project represents plans to invest in the creation of the world’s largest gas fermentation facility, creating 75 new jobs upon completion of the plant, expanding to 160 employees once the plant is at full capacity.

Custom Engineered Wheels

Custom Engineered Wheels, a leading custom wheel manufacturer, announced plans to expand in Prentiss County, Mississippi. The company’s Baldwyn operation plans to create 20 new jobs and invest $13 million in the project.

Wacker Chemie AG

Wacker Chemie AG, the world’s third largest pyrogenic silica manufacturer, and TVA direct-served customer, announced plans to expand operations at its Bradley County, Tennessee facility. The new production facility project will be adjacent to the company’s existing polysilicon plant and represents $150 million in capital investment, and 50 new jobs in the region.
