Welcome to the Colorado River Indian Tribes (CRIT) Sex Offender Registration Website. The purpose of this website is to provide information to the public about ANY CONVICTED sex offenders, regardless of nationality, residing, visiting, working or attending school within the Colorado River Indian Reservation pursuant to the CRIT Sex Offender Registration Code. On June 10, 2010, the Colorado River Indian Tribes – Tribal Council unanimously approved the passage of the new Sex Offender Registration Code (SORC) Article 1 to be effective July 15, 2010, and amended it in entirety on February 25, 2013, by Ordinance 13-02, effective on March 1, 2013, in accordance with the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act (SORNA), Pub. L. No. 109-248, 120 Stat. 587 (2006), Title 1 of the Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act of 2006 (P.L. 109-248), 42 U.S.C. 16911 et seq., as amended.
Accordingly, all convicted Sex Offenders or Offenders with criminal convictions for attempt or conspiracy to commit sex offenses (which includes both domestic and foreign convictions), must register with the Colorado River Indian Tribes Law Enforcement Services SORNA Office within one (1) business day for visitation, and three (3) business days upon entering within the exterior boundaries of the Colorado River Indian Reservation for purposes of residency, work or education. Offenders must update their registration every 90 days thereafter.
FAILURE to comply with this mandatory requirement shall result in Federal and/or Tribal Criminal charges filed for FAILURE TO REGISTER. For the purposes of the mandatory registration requirements, this includes the Town of Parker, and the Counties of La Paz, San Bernardino, and Riverside Counties, which are located within the exterior boundaries of the Colorado River Indian Reservation.

A registered sex offender agrees to the following terms:
-Register before being released from incarceration, if not incarcerated, within 3 business days of being sentenced, establishing residence, commencing employment, or becoming a student within the exterior boundaries of CRIT.
-Register within 1 day for any visitors.
-Obtain a non-operating identification license or a drivers license from MVD.
-Appear in person at the CRIT police department every 90 days for the rest of their life, while remaining within CRIT exterior boundaries.
-Provide the name of any college, university or institute of post secondary education where he/she is a student, employee or carrying on a vocation and update his/her registration if any changes occur.
-Notify CRIT police within 3 days, if any changes of residence occur.
-Notify CRIT police within 3 days if he/she moves from the reservation.
-If he/she relocates to another jurisdiction, he/she must comply with the requirements of that jurisdiction.
-If he/she is a transient, he/she must register their physical location.
-Provide any online identifiers. (hotmail, yahoo, msn, ect)
-Must live more than 1000 feet from a school and/or child care facility. (does not apply if established residence prior to July 2010.)
The sex offender registry is provided to promote public awareness. Sexual abuse can happen to boys, girls, adults, even disabled children. When a child is sexually abused, the effect will cause feelings of overwhelming pain and loss. The child will be confused and unable to comprehend the feelings they are going through. It will destroy their self-esteem, self-worth and steal their childhood from them. Most often, sexually abused children turn to drugs, alcohol, run away and sadly, experience suicidal tendencies.
When a child discloses that they have been sexually abused, the most important thing to remember is to show that you believe them. When a child tells you about the sexual abuse, remember these words and tell the child;
"I believe you" "never feel ashamed about what happened" "it's not your fault".
