December Labor Report
The December seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 4.2  percent. This is down from 4.3 percent in November and up from 4.0 percent in December 2015. Read more here.

2017 Labor Market Release Dates
KDOL Division of Labor Market Information Services (LMIS) in conjunction with the Bureau of Labor Statistics releases the Kansas Labor Market Report each month. The report contains information about Kansas' economic condition for the month and year including jobs numbers, unemployment rates, claims data and more. Read more here.

Kansas Workplace Fatalities Decrease for 2015
Kansas had 60 fatal work-related injuries in 2015 compared to 73 recorded in 2014, according to the Census of Fatal Occupational Injuries (CFOI). The CFOI program is a national census conducted by the U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) in partnership with the KDOL Division of Industrial Safety and Health. Healthcare Occupations Remain the Highest Paying Jobs in Kansas
KDOL 2016 Kansas Wage Survey, is now available online. This publication provides employment and wage estimates by occupation. In addition to statewide and metropolitan area numbers, the new publication provides estimates for 12 sub-state areas (Local Areas and Projection Regions), which are based on Kansas' labor market areas, along with all 105 counties.
