Upcoming Training Opportunities

The Vermont Emergency Training program offers a wide array of free courses for seasoned responders and those who would like to explore emergency response as a volunteer or as a career.   Our training page has background on the program and training opportunities.  Visit our training page for a full list of training dates.

Emergency Preparedness Workbooks

DEMHS is distributing its Family Emergency Preparedness Workbooks.  The book includes information on how to prepare for disasters and how you and your family can stay safe during an emergency event, or weather emergency.  Email us for a copy for yourself, or communities can order multiple copies for local distribution.

Vermont Alert

Vermont Alert is the state system designed to keep Vermonters informed about emergency situations, weather alerts, or road information - among other details that could affect everyday life.  Users select what information they wish to receive, how they receive that information - email, text, phone call, etc. - and for what areas the alerts pertain.  VT Alert is a free service and it only takes a few minutes to sign up for an account.  Visit vtalert.gov to sign up.
