Accessibility: Access for Persons with Disabilities
The eRulemaking Program is committed to providing access to the Federal Docket Management System (FDMS) for all persons with disabilities and to meet this commitment,
the Program has taken the following actions:
- FDMS.gov strives to be fully compliant with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. Section 508 requires that persons with disabilities have access to and use of
information and data comparable to the information available to members of the public who are not persons with disabilities, unless an undue burden would be imposed on the
Federal government.
- FDMS.gov automatically processes a variety of documents received in the FDMS system through an Optical Character Recognition (OCR) rendering service to increase the
accessibility of documents that are submitted in a non-accessible format. The success of this rendering service varies across documents. FDMS has implemented this tool in order
to increase document accessibility to the greatest extent possible based on volume and source of the documents received.
If you experience difficulty using or accessing information on FDMS.gov, or if you want to request a document that you are not able to fully access, please contact the FDMS.gov
