The 11th session of the International Conference on Carbonaceous Particles in the Atmosphere (the "Carbon Conference") was hosted by Lawrence Berkeley National Lab on August 10-13, 2015. This session continued the traditional intimate setting of this conference series with single-track platform presentations and an engaging evening poster session overlooking the beautiful San Francisco Bay.

The conference featured 107 scientific presentations about the nature and environmental impacts of carbonaceous particles on human health and climate change. The 125 participants included citizens of 29 countries. This 11th session of the conference series was dedicated to the memory of Berkeley Lab Senior Scientist Tica Novakov, who founded the conference series at Berkeley Lab in 1978 and who passed away earlier this year.

The 12th session of the Carbon Conference will be held in Vienna in 2018.
