We are Tulalip

The Tulalip (pronounced Tuh’-lay-lup) Tribes are federally recognized successors in interest to the Snohomish, Snoqualmie, Skykomish, and other allied tribes and bands signatory to the Treaty of Point Elliott. The 22,000 acre Tulalip Indian Reservation is located north of Everett and the Snohomish River, and west of Marysville, Washington. The Tribes maintain an aggressive environmental preservation program, both on and off of the reservation to complement the Snohomish region’s natural resources. The economic development zone along the I-5 corridor provides revenue and services for the region. Tulalip provides health, human services, housing, utilities, technology services, education, recreation, entertainment, cultural, and historical activities. The Tribes have over 4,300 members, with half of the members living on the reservation.

Marine Drive Sidewalk Expansion Project

November 2016 to Summer 2017

Sidewalks and bike lanes will be constructed along Marine Drive. Currently, Marine Drive has sidewalks and bicycle lanes from I-5 to 7th Drive NW, providing approximately 3.1 miles of pedestrian facilities.
This project will:

  • Add approximately 2.4 miles of illuminated multi-use trail, connecting 7th Avenue NW to 36th Avenue NW (next to Tulalip Boys and Girls Club).
  • Add a proper pedestrian connection from 36th Avenue NW to I-5.
  • Improve safety and mobility for pedestrians and bicyclists.

This project is a partnership between the Tulalip Tribes and Snohomish County.

Marysville/Tulalip Community Recovery

The Marysville/Tulalip Community Recovery Team has launched an official Marysville/Tulalip United website. Following the tragic events of October 24th at the Marysville Pilchuck High School, the Marysville/Tulalip United website contains listings of community events and trainings, resources, and referrals for those needing help for themselves and loved ones. It is a joint collaboration between the Tulalip Tribes, the City of Marysville, and the Marysville School District.
