They're back!

eaglesMr. President and First Lady, our resident pair of American bald eagles, have returned for the third year at the U.S. National Arboretum. We are proud to continue our collaboration with the American Eagle Foundation (AEF), the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, DC Department of Energy and Environment, and Alfred State, SUNY College of Technology, on bringing to DC, the Nation, and the world, high-definition eagle nest cameras. And, new for 2017, live sound will be captured and streamed through several new nest microphones! The nest has been stabilized and the eagles have spruced it up as they prepare for another mating and nesting season. Check out all the action when 24/7 live-streaming video begins on January 1, 2017 at the AEF website. In addition, we have added a viewing scope strategically positioned to provide unobstructed views to the eagle nest from below our Azalea collection. So visit in person or via the web as the National Arboretum hosts these majestic animals once more.
