2017 INTERNSHIPS

Now accepting applications for internships.

internProgram Description

The U.S. National Arboretum is one of the premier arboretums in the country, located just 2 miles from the U.S. Capitol.  A limited number of internships for qualified individuals seeking on-the-job work experience and training in horticulture, botany and plant research are available.  Selected individuals gain hands-on experience throughout the Arboretum's various plant collections, greenhouses, and research laboratories. In addition, interns complete a project and participate in educational field trips. Internships vary in length from 3 months to 6 months and begin in spring 2017

The following internships are open: 

Application requirements: a cover letter, resume, transcripts (unofficial are accepted), and three references.
