Upper Sacramento River Monitoring Project Work Team

The Upper Sacramento River Monitoring Project Work Team (USRMPWT) was first formed in 2001 as a satellite team of the Interagency Ecological Program’s Central Valley Salmonid Project Work Team. The Team's mission statement is “to meet on an annual basis to facilitate communication and information exchange among the agencies monitoring Chinook salmon and steelhead in the Upper Sacramento River Basin. The team traditionally meets in March to coordinate exchange of study plans prior to the upcoming field season.” Since its formation, we have extended data sharing to include Green Sturgeon studies and ecological monitoring in the Upper River. The emphasis of our meetings is to share current study plans and provide monitoring updates.

Our next meeting date is March 22, 2017 at the Red Bluff Fish and Wildlife Office, hosted by Jim Smith, USFWS.
