Trajectory of Distributed, Time-varying NOx source

Postby jefflapierre6 » September 2nd, 2016, 1:26 pm

I am hoping to use HYSPLIT to study NOx production from lightning. I have lightning data and want to use that as a source for the NOx input into HYSPLIT. What I would like to know is if HYSPLIT can handle an input source that is distributed (i.e., is there a limit to the number of sources)? Also, can HYSPLIT handle time-varying sources? Thanks in advance!

You can specify time-varying emissions using a an optional emission file.
In the following link you will find an example of how to set up the model to run with such a file
