Emergency Management Performance Grant Program (EMPG)

The Emergency Management Performance Grant (EMPG) is a federal funding program awarded to New York State and administered by the Office of Counter Terrorism at the NYS Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services (OCT/DHSES). In order to assist local jurisdictions that have been awarded federal EMPG funds in New York State, the following guidance documents and application information have been issued.

FY 2016

The FY 2016 EMPG Program plays an important role in the implementation of the National Preparedness System (NPS) by supporting the building, sustainment, and delivery of core capabilities essential to achieving the National Preparedness Goal (the Goal) of a secure and resilient Nation. The building, sustainment, and delivery of these core capabilities require the combined effort of the whole community, rather than the exclusive effort of any single organization or level of government. The FY 2016 EMPG Program supports efforts to build and sustain core capabilities across the Prevention, Protection, Mitigation, Response, and Recovery mission areas based on allowable costs.

FY 2014
