And the Secretary's Citation Winner for Excellent Customer Service is...

...Barry Dillow, OSH Compliance Officer III, Maryland Occupational Safety and Health, for exemplary customer service during the Ellicott City floods!! Congratulations Barry!

Barry Dillow is currently working in the capacity of an OSH Compliance Officer III with Maryland Occupational Safety and Health (MOSH) Consultation Program planning, scheduling, and conducting safety consultation visits and assisting employers in the improvement of their safety and health program. Barry’s career with MOSH began March 14, 2011, when he joined the team as an OSH Compliance Officer I (Trainee). Over the years Barry has progressed and moved up within the OSH Compliance Officer classification series.

Prior to accepting the OSH Compliance Officer I position with MOSH, Barry worked as an EMT/paramedic responding to 911 calls for emergency medical assistance. Barry was very valuable in assisting other local and state agencies with many underwater search and rescue missions, as well as mentored other divers in proper skills and techniques in order to be successful. I guess one would say Barry’s calling is to ensure the safety and health of all people both in and outside of the workplace.
