You are invited to attend the Utah Division of Drinking Water (DDW) Monthly Webinar. This 30-minute webinar is for all water professionals and will be on the fourth Monday of every month at 11 am. Certified Utah Water Operators can receive 0.05 CEUs for dialing into the webinar and by filling out a short evaluation survey at the end of the presentation.
You do not need to register for the webinar. There can be 300 participants to call in and under 100 to connect to the live webinar using a computer or smartphone.
If you are unable to call in or join the webinar, don't worry! We will record these webinars and post them on DEQ's YouTube page as well post them on our website at drinkingwater.utah.gov.
The first monthly webinar is January 30th at 11 am. We will introduce our new Director Marie Owens, discuss the definition and consequences of data falsification, review total coliform sampling plans and deadlines, and provide more information on the electronic submission of distribution residual data.

- Amended R309-105-15 and R309-400-12
Amendments to R309-105-15 and R309-400-12 became effective on November 22, 2016
H.B. 305 (2016) amended Title 19, Chapter 4, Subsection (1)(c)(iv) of the Utah Code by directing the Drinking Water Board to require a certified operator of a public water supplier to verify by signature and certification number, or a professional engineer performing the duties of a certified water operator to verify by signature and stamp, the accuracy of any data on water use and water supply submitted by the public water supplier to the Division. R309-105-15 and R309-400-12 implement the new requirements.
The Water Use Data Form is an existing form used by the Division of Water Rights to collect monthly water use data from public water systems in Utah. The report is submitted annually to the Division of Water Rights.

Based on comments received during October 2016 comment period, the Drinking Water Board authorized DDW to make changes to the proposed rule; the notice period for the changes will be from Dec. 15, 2016 to Jan. 17, 2017 - R309-540 Pumping Facilities - rule revision anticipated in January 2017
Based on the comments received during the September 2016 comment period, DDW intends to re-start the repeal and re-enactment of this rule January 2017
