NGTOC Webinar: Using The National Map (TNM) services to enable your web and mobile mapping efforts

Brian Fox is currently the Systems Development Branch Chief for the National Geospatial Technical Operations Center (NGTOC) where he oversees development activity in support of The National Map. Prior to leading NGTOC's Systems Development Branch, Brian supported the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency in a variety of roles, including joint military assignments in the United States and overseas. He holds an undergraduate degree in Geography from the University of Minnesota and a Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Missouri - Saint Louis

Rick Brown is an IT Specialist for the USGS National Geospatial Technical Operations Center (NGTOC) in Rolla, MO. He currently serves as the Technical Lead and Project Chief for The National Map Delivery project. The first seven years of his work history were in private sector engineering and he began his federal career in 1987. Rick studied Computer Science at the University of Missouri - Rolla and moved into a technical supervisory role managing undergrad Computer Science students. As an original developer of The National Map 1.0 implementation, Rick enjoyed the opportunity of enabling data providers and consumers with web-accessible, inter-operable services. For 6 years he worked on a data collaboration project that became ScienceBase.gov which currently serves as the TNM Staged Product Index. Returning to the The National Map project in 2012, Rick looks forward to enabling the data user community by designing and maturing The National Map 3.0 products and services.

Camille Ambrosi is behind the AlpineQuest mobile application for Android operating system. Prior to focusing on AlpineQuest, he lived in Grenoble, France, working as a software engineer. While living and working in the foothills of the French Alps, he developed AlpineQuest to allow his first generation Android phone to carry digital maps along with him on his weekend hikes. Realizing it could also help other people, he released the first version in the Google Store, and after a year of supporting the application part time, he decided to focus on the development of AlpineQuest application full time. Since then, new features have been regularly added, including the built-in support of USGS maps. More recently he has moved to the UK, but still fully dedicated to this project.

Brett Marraccini is a Contract GIS Developer for the USGS National Geospatial Technical Operations Center (NGTOC) in Lakewood, CO. He currently publishes and maintains The National Map dynamic and cached web services. The first 11 years of his work history were in private sector engineering, environmental and energy GIS initiatives. Brett studied Geography at the University of Colorado - Boulder and continues to explore open source web mapping applications and exposing interoperability with OGC map services.
