Plan Sponsors and Vendors that have submitted retiree files to CMS' RDS Center since December 9, 2016 are currently experiencing a delay in receiving Retiree Response Files.

Effective immediately, Vendors that previously submitted files to the RDS Center Mainframe using Connect:Direct must now send files to RDS' new mid-tier location. Please visit the Mainframe Submission: File Location Change page for additional information about this change.

CMS' RDS Center is pleased to announce a change in retiree processing that expedites cost reporting and Reconciliation tasks.

As previously announced on April 22, 2016, CMS’ RDS Center is changing the location for sending cost and retiree data files to the RDS Center Mainframe. This change only impacts Vendors that submit data to CMS' RDS Center using Connect:Direct and does not affect participants that submit data using the RDS Secure Website or through their COB:VDSA or MIR contractor. CMS’ RDS Center has determined a date for when files must be sent to the new location.

CMS’ RDS Center would like to remind RDS Secure Website users that it is a violation of Federal law to share or transfer user accounts or login and password information.

CMS' RDS Center offers a number of tips for resolving errors when uploading a retiree file on the RDS Secure Website.

There are a number of conditions that must be met before Step 4: Finalize Covered Retirees can be completed.

The RDS Secure Website allows an individual to act in only one role at a time. If a Plan Sponsor wishes to assign a different role to a current user, it should keep a few things in mind.

Do you need to retrieve your RDS Secure Website Login ID, fix your email address, or enable your user account?

As part of the Plan Sponsor Agreement and in accordance with 42 C.F.R. §423.892 of Federal regulations, Plan Sponsors are required to provide CMS with notice at least 60 days prior to the anticipated effective date of a change of Plan Sponsor Name or EIN (i.e., a change of ownership).
