Peace Corps in Philippines

There are more than 145 Volunteers in the Philippines working with their communities on projects in education, the environment, and youth development. During their service in the Philippines, Volunteers learn to speak local languages, including Bikol-Naga, Cebuano, Hiligaynon, Ilokano, Kinaray-a, Sorsoganon, Tagalog, and Waray. More than 9,070 Peace Corps Volunteers have served in the Philippines since the program was established in 1961.
