Peace Corps in Guatemala
There
are more than 105 Volunteers in Guatemala working with their communities on
projects in health and youth development. During their service in Guatemala, Volunteers
conduct projects in Spanish and learn to speak local languages, including Ixil,
Kaqchikel, K’iche, and Mam. More than 5,075
Peace Corps Volunteers have served in Guatemala since the program was
established in 1963.
