As the coordinator of the Sexuality Training Awareness and Response (STAR) Peace Corps Volunteer committee in Nicaragua, I train and support staff and Volunteers on LGBTQ issues.

To celebrate International Women's Day, World Wise Schools did our part by hosting a webinar entitled “A Woman Who is Changing My Life” to engage middle schools in America with Peace Corps Volunteers and their inspiring female counterparts in Ukraine and Nicaragua. 

The most obvious way to engage with the world through Peace Corps is to serve as a Volunteer.

TEFL Volunteers at three pilot posts began their training in 2014 with online courses, and in the two years since then, have participated in teacher training at their posts, taught English classes with host country partners, shared experiences with other Volunteers in communities of practice, honed their classroom skills, and much more.
