Ingredients

2 lb lean moose meat, cut into cubes

1 medium onion, chopped

5 medium potatoes, cubed

5 carrots, sliced

5 stalks celery, sliced

½ C rice

1 C frozen peas

Ground black pepper, to taste

Directions

    Combine moose meat and chopped onion in a deep saucepan. Add water to cover mixture; liquid above mixture should be 2 inches deep.

    Bring to a boil and simmer, uncovered, for 1 hour or until meat is tender.

    Add potatoes, carrots, celery, and rice, and simmer for 30 minutes, until vegetables are tender. Add peas, and simmer for 8 minutes.

    Add black pepper to taste before serving.
