NOAA’s Data in the Classroom website and data tools will be temporarily offline while the site is upgraded to meet federal security standards. We apologize for this inconvenience.

In the meantime, please download the Teacher’s Guide (in PDF format) for the five curriculum modules.

El Niño
Sea Level
Water Quality
Ocean Acidification
Coral Bleaching

In addition to the Teacher’s Guides, several other tools are available for the Get Data portions of the curriculum for El Niño, Sea Level satellite and tide data, Water Quality, Ocean Acidification, and Coral Bleaching

Looking Ahead to the New Data in the Classroom

Coming soon, the new Data in the Classroom website will include upgrades that improve the utility of Data in the Classroom lesson plans. We are developing web applications that offer:

  • A more in-depth offering of online activities
  • The latest data visualizations and data tools
  • Interactive learning tools for students

In addition, the new modules are being carefully aligned to the Next Generation Science Standards.

We will release each of the new modules as soon as they are developed. (Estimated time of delivery: winter-spring 2017)

Please contact the NOAA Data in the Classroom team with any questions or needs.
