NWSChat users whose computers are behind a firewall may need to add a new IP address to their firewall access list in order to connect to the new servers. This action should be done by October 14, 2015. This only affects users of chat clients who need to have their IT personnel add NWSChat IP addresses to their firewall rules. Such users should have their IT department add this additional IP address: 140.90.101.203 (TCP Port 5222 will continue to be used for clients like Pidgin). This does not affect web based NWSChat (https://nwschat.weather.gov/live/) users.
