Constituent Services - Service Academies

Each year I am privileged to have the opportunity to nominate outstanding young Virginians to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, the U.S. Naval Academy, the U.S. Air Force Academy and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. Please download the Service Academy Nomination Packet below to obtain all information necessary to apply for my nominations.  My deadline for receiving completed applications and all requested information for my nominations for the classes entering in 2009 is October 31, 2008.

I was pleased to sponsor, along with other Members of the Virginia Congressional Delegation, the annual Virginia Academy Day. Held in the Spring for the past twenty years, Academy Day provides Virginia middle and high school students, their parents, and guidance counselors with a comprehensive overview of the Academies and their admissions processes. Officials from each Academy are also available to meet with prospective candidates at these sessions. Virginia Academy Day 2008 was held on Saturday, April 5, 2008 at the National Museum of the Marine Corps in Triangle, VA.
