The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration's (SAMHSA) National Clearinghouse for Alcohol and Drug Information (NCADI) offers several online databases. These include:

Information About Drugs and Alcohol (IDA)

IDA contains bibliographic citations and abstracts on prevention and other sociological issues on alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs, from 1987 to the present.

Marketing Database (MKT)

MKT contains information and articles on the marketing of alcohol, tobacco, and drugs. This database provides bibliographic citations and some abstracts.

National Substance Abuse Web Index (NSAWI)

NSAWI provides access to articles on substance abuse and treatment. Information on drugs, alcohol, and tobacco is provided.

Prevention Materials Database (PMD)

PMD contains citations and selected abstracts for primary alcohol and substance abuse prevention materials developed by both private and public agencies for use by community leaders, educators, parents, and youth.

State Needs Assessment Profiles Database (SNAP)

SNAP contains summary profiles for substance abuse studies conducted by states throughout the United States. It catalogs available information on CSAP's first three rounds of State Needs Assessment Contracts.

Substance Abuse Treatment Facility Locator (SARFL)

SARFL is a searchable directory of more than 11,000 drug and alcohol treatment programs in the United States. New facilities are added monthly.

Treatment Resources Database

This database provides citations and abstracts for alcohol and substance abuse treatment materials for use by treatment professionals, substance users, family members of substance users, and health care providers. The database focuses on text related to intervention, recovery, treatment, and relapse prevention.
