Environmental crimes charges against two Northumberland County men

A residential developer and a former sewage enforcement officer from Northumberland County are accused of falsely certifying building lots for septic systems and submitting falsified reports to the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP).

$120 million investment settlement with Shell Oil

Attorney General Tom Corbett announced a $120 million settlement of a U.S. class action lawsuit against Royal Dutch Shell, which was accused of overstating oil and natural gas reserves and artificially inflating stock prices.  The lawsuit was brought by investors across the U.S., including Pennsylvania's retirement systems for teachers and state employees.

Massive violations of "Do Not Call law" sparks lawsuits against Maryland & Pennsylvania firms

Two companies, based in Baltimore, MD, and State College, PA, who are accused of calling more than 500,000 Pennsylvania residents who are on the "Do Not Call" list, are the focus of lawsuits recently filed by Attorney General Tom Corbett's Bureau of Consumer Protection.
