Read Down Your Fines |
Got Fines? If you are ages 12 – 18 and want to check out books again, this program might be for you! |
How does it work?
What is TAB?: The Teen Advisory Board, TAB,
is an opportunity for teens to help promote library
services for young adults.
Who is eligible to join?: TAB membership is
open to teens in grades 6th-12th
(ages 12 -18).
When and where does TAB meet?: TAB meets on
the 2nd Saturday of
every month at the downtown library.
What do members do?: TAB members advise library
staff about teen
programming, help promote library events, help
plan the new teen center at the
downtown library, advise and assist in the design of
the library’s teen website
and much, much more!
How do I join?: Ask a librarian for a TAB
application or call the library’s call center at 757-5310.
Acceptance will be based upon the availability of a position and
the quality
of the TAB application
Attention: Teen Web Designers Needed |
Have you taken a class in web design and want to put your knowledge to practical use? Would you enjoy contributing to a website that is viewed by thousands of people a day? Are you interested in spreading the word about teen interests and library events?
We’ve got the answers for you!
The library is looking for interested teens who want to contribute to the design of this website. The Main Library will have a computer with Dreamweaver, our website development program, for your use. And helpful staff will be able to guide you through the basic steps. Make a difference - get involved.
Contact the library at library@lib.chattanooga.gov for more information.
