YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ELECTRONICALLY FILE ANY DOCUMENTS DURING THIS TIME PERIOD. Please have your last e-filing transaction and payment completed by 9:55 am Saturday morning to avoid losing any work.

New Procedures for Judge Zive cases only: Motions for Relief from Automatic Stay Regarding Real Property

New procedure for Judge Riegle cases only: All Stipulations to non-dischargeability of debts in an adversary proceeding, where the debtor is not represented by counsel, must be set for reaffirmation hearings by the attorney for the creditor. Creditor's attorney must notify debtor of the date and time of hearing. 9/9/08

New NOTICE re: LOCAL RULE

LR 5005. ELECTRONIC FILING, SERVICE, AND TRANSMITTAL OF PAPERS

Reminder: Attorneys must comply with all Local Rules.

Starting on September 15, 2008, there will be strict enforcement of Local Rule 5005(a)(5):

LR 5005(a)(5) states that if exceptional or emergency circumstances prevent a person from filing electronically, the person may ask the clerk to accept a filing under the exceptional circumstances listed in LR 5005(a)(5)(A-C).

In Summary: Unless the court directs otherwise, a person filing on paper under exceptional or emergency circumstances must, either concurrently with the filing or within 2 business days after making it, submit a motion and order (Click here for form motion and order). If the motion is not made within the time limit, the clerk will strike the paper filing from the docket.
