UNICAT beam time request APS General User Program |
Access to BeamtimeXOR/UNI is currently operating the Insertion Device Beamline in Sector 33 & 34 at the APS, and will allocate 35% of all operations time to General Users. The remaining time will be awarded to former UNICAT members or used for Beam line operations and support. Former UNICAT Members can apply for beamtime on any of the XOR/UNI beamlines (both Sectors 33 and 34) by submitting a Member Beamtime Request Form. Each institution will establish research priorities to guide the allocation of the transition beam time. General Users can apply for
beamtime on the XOR/UNI beamlines (both Sectors 33 and 34) by submitting a
proposal to the APS User Office. Before submitting a proposal, prospective
General Users should contact P. Zschack (630)252-0860 to assure the facilities meet the technical requirements of
the proposal, and that any specific equipment or instrumentation is available. You can then submit a General User
Request Form.
