"The primary purpose of the Special Programs Division (RTI-100) is to provide professional development and safety training to the public and private sector. The Special Programs Division is unique in terms of its role as a provider of multiple safety-related services and products that do not fit into the more narrowly defined missions of the existing modal divisions within the Transportation Safety Institute (TSI).

Customers and stakeholders of RTI-100 represent broad categories of government, business, and the service industry which include such organizations as the Federal Aviation Administration, Transportation Security Administration, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, U.S. Marines, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Department of Interior, Federal Transit Authority, Bureau of Reclamation, U.S. Secretary of Transportation, motor carrier industry, oil and gas industry, and state and local government entities. We actively encourage and foster the continued expansion of our partnerships/sponsorships. The Special Programs Division takes pride in directly supporting TSI’s mission to provide worldwide training, education, and technical assistance that contributes to the protection of life, property, and the environment.
