Careers at FHFB

The FHFB is an independent agency in the executive branch of the Federal government with independent compensation setting authority. This means the FHFB has the statutory authority to employ, direct and fix the compensation of its employees without regard to the provisions of other laws applicable to officers and employees of the United States.. This means that FHFB employees enjoy both the benefits all government employees receive (i.e. leave, FERS, CSRS, TSP, FEHB, FEGLI, etc.) plus other benefits as well (i.e. salaries not tied to the General Schedule, additional retirement plan, dental and vision plans, etc.) Many benefits are paid for by the FHFB, at no cost to its employees, while others are generously subsidized by the agency. Here is a list including the major available benefits. Click below to get the details.
