Agency Accounting Identifier (AAI) Contract Load Notification Overview

The AAI Contract Load Electronic Notification capability allows an AAI Administrator to create a "Notification List" of e-mail addresses for a specific AAI that automatically notifies addressees when base contracts, contract modifications or contract delivery orders are loaded (XML data is extracted) into Electronic Document Access (EDA).

Notification lists are created and managed within the EDA application. DFAS users with the AAI Admin role can maintain (add, update and delete) AAI Contract Load Notification Lists.

As addressees are added EDA automatically sends a Welcome Message informing them that they have been added to an AAI Contract Notification list for a specific AAI and will be notified when a new contract document(s) associated with the AAI has been loaded.
 
When the contract loads into EDA, the notification process activates and EDA attempts to e-mail the notification to the addresses on the lists. Contract load notification is NOT an assured delivery method; it utilizes standard e-mail. A delivery failure error is recorded in the Notification Error table for the EDA administrator to address.

AAI Notification e-mail messages are sent once per day, after all document load events have been completed. If multiple documents are loaded for the same AAI, EDA will attempt to consolidate notifications and send one e-mail per AAI to the recipient, preventing an overload of messages.
