Benefits

Pay and Allowances

Job Corps pays each student a living allowance twice a month while in the program. But just like a real job, taxes are deducted from this allowance.

Center Housing

Our center can house 136 male students and 48 female students in three dormitories (Bumpers North and South for males and Alamo for females). Each dormitory has bathroom and shower facilities, TV rooms and lounges. Student laundry facilities are located on site.

Honors Dorm

We also have an excellent opportunity for students to apply for our Honors Dormitory. Our Honor Dorm students are hardworking and successful in all training areas, have positive attitudes and provide positive mentoring and guidance to other students at our center.  They have achieved the highest color card level, which is a Gold Card, and they are expected to maintain this level of merit.

Meals

Our students are provided three nutritious meals each day at no cost in one of the best cafeteria facilities in Job Corps.

Wellness Center

The wellness center is open daily for basic medical, dental, and optometrist services which are provided free to our students. The wellness center also provides 24-hour emergency medical services. Weight management, smoking cessation, pregnancy prevention, and other health-related programs are also available.
