Academics

In addition to career training, Clearfield Job Corps also provides academic training, including basic reading and math. Courses in independent living, employability skills, and social skills are offered in order to help students transition into the workplace. These courses help students meet our Career Success Standards (77 kb PDF file). We also have several academic programs to help our students achieve their full potential.

GED/High School Diploma

Our students have the opportunity to earn their high school diplomas from Great Basin High School, located on our campus. Great Basin High School is governed by the Utah State Office of Education and has been accredited through the Northwest Association of Accredited Schools since 1970.

ELL Program

Students needing to learn English can enter our English Language Learning (ELL) program. Students in the ELL program are tested regularly with the California Adult Student Assessment System (CASAS) test to determine their language proficiency levels.
