Job Corps students in the classroom

Academics

In addition to career training, Cassadaga Job Corps also provides academic training, including basic reading and math. Courses in independent living, employability skills, and social skills are offered in order to help students transition into the workplace. We also have several academic programs to help our students achieve their full potential.

High School Equivalency Diploma

One of our top goals at Cassadaga Job Corps is to ensure that every qualified student obtains his or her HSE/high school diploma prior to leaving the center. Students who don't already have a high school diploma upon their arrival at Cassadaga are automatically enrolled into our HSE or  online high school diploma program. The Cassadaga Job Corps Center offers instruction to students to help them prepare for the Test Assessing Secondary Completion (TASC) as well as an online high school diploma option for those meeting certain criteria.

College Program

The College Program is an advanced training program. To qualify for this program, a student must have a high school diploma or HSE(from our center or another educational facility) and have successfully completed a vocational trade at Job Corps.

Benefits of the College Program include:

  • Academic advisement, mentoring, and tutoring
  • Assistance with completing application and financial aid paperwork
  • Housing and recreation on Job Corps campus
  • Meals provided by Job Corps, on-and-off center
  • Transportation to and from college

Cassadaga Job Corps is proud of its on-going relationship with Jamestown Community College and Jamestown Business College which provide our students with the opportunity to obtain a first class college education.
