The Dental Program at the Florida Department of Health in Marion County provides diagnostic, restorative, preventive and educational services.

Dental services are offered Monday through Friday, and new patients are being accepted. Bilingual services are available.

We accept Medicaid, Medicare, the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) and many insurance plans. If you do not have insurance, we charge on a sliding scale based on income. If you need insurance, you may qualify for coverage under other programs such as Kid Care. To find out if you are eligible, call the clinic or visit the health department’s main Ocala facility to sign up.

The Department’s Dental Program serves patients at the College of Central Florida Hampton Center. The partnership allows the Department to help serve the dental needs of Marion County’s underserved children and adults, while giving Dental Assisting students training to perform as efficient dental professionals. The Department also sees children at the Marion County Head Start campus in Ocala, and provides preventive services in area schools.
