The main focus of the MU-SPIN Program is to transfer advanced computer network technologies to HBCUs and OMUs and encouraging the use of this technology to support multi-disciplinary research. Each NRTS provides connectivity and training for its collaborative partner institutions (K-12 and colleges/universities).
To ensure effective use of the network connectivity, innovative web-based educational programs have been identified which satisfy the MSET objective; and research projects have been implemented which utilize the network. The K-12 schools and colleges/universities with access to the network as part of the MU-SPIN NRTS initiatives are listed below.
American students will leave grades four, eight and twelve having demonstrated competency in challenging subject matter, including mathematics, science, history, and geography; and every school in America will ensure that all students learn to use their minds well, so that they may be prepared for responsible citizenship, further learning, and productive employment in the economy.
