    Flare Emission Notification System

    This tool is used to generate flare event notifications. Refineries or related facilities subject to Rule 1118  are required to notify SCAQMD of flare events (both planned and unplanned) that are expected to exceed certain thresholds. The public can sign up to receive email notices of this events also.

    Oil and gas well operators and chemical suppliers are required by SCAQMD Rule 1148.2 to electronically submit various types of reports related to well drilling, well completion, and well reworks within the South Coast Air Basin.

    Several provisions of SCAQMD Rule 1113 address the sale or use of certain coatings above a 4,000 foot elevation within the South Coast Air Basin.  This tool identifies those areas and can be used to determine if a specific location falls with the area above 4,000 feet.
