New Hire Information

For an officer that has never been licensed, the agency will need to conduct a psychological evaluation, physical, background check, sidearm qualification, pass the use of force test.  (For Lake Region Graduates, the agency may use the psychological eval from the LRSC academy and they do not need to complete another use of force test.)  Once the agency receives all of the above information, the POST Board will need the PFN1, PFN2, PFN3, and PFN14 forms, a copy of the letter from the background check, the use of force test, sidearm qualification, and the $45 license fee.

For an officer that is already licensed in the State of ND, the agency will need to conduct the background check and have the officer qualify.  After the agency received all of the above information, the POST Board will need the PFN2 and PFN14 forms, a copy of the letter from the background check, and the sidearm qualification.
