About the Program
The Information Technology Division functions consist of supporting the internal agency applications and IT equipment and being the liaison to the Commonwealth’s IT partner Northrop Grumman. The partnership is responsible for the day to day needs of the staff and equipment used to conduct routine business functions.
Within in the division is the Fire Service Training Record System (FSTRS) which tracks the training program delivered by the agency to the individual first responders throughout the Commonwealth. Troubleshooting operations will be conducted to enable the user to better utilize the system. In addition to web access support, the Virginia Fire Service community may contact VDFP via their toll free number, 1-866-4VAFIRE (823473). The user-access point of the FSTRS is a secure web-link to all individual training records which meet and or exceed Privacy Act 1971 standards.
