Advisory Board

The Advisory Board is composed of fifteen members, with at least five CHW members from across the state. The remaining ten members consist of individuals representing healthcare and social services, health workforce policy, institutions of higher education, faith-based organizations, etc. Members serve for a term of one year, from July to June. The Advisory Board consists of three elected leadership positions (Co-Chairs, Secretary). Co-Chairs from each Workgroup are also members of the Advisory Board.

The Advisory Board will assign each Coalition member to serve on one or more of the workgroups based upon the member's background, expertise, interest and availability as indicated on the membership form. The Advisory Board may create ad-hoc committees and other committees as it may deem appropriate. The Advisory Board serves in an advisory capacity to the work groups and provides recommendations to improve the CHW workforce within the state, including the training and possibly certification processes.
