Department of Transportation Bicycle Maps
These maps provide data to help bicyclists make informed decisions about where they want to ride on Utah’s roads. The goal of these efforts from the Department of Transportation is to offer relevant material on ride routes, bicycle infrastructure, roadway conditions and other elements that could affect your ride. Information on local routes and infrastructure is provided on a limited basis. The maps are dynamic and will change periodically to reflect new conditions, routes and other information as it becomes available.
Physical Activity Guidelines
The current recommendations for physical activity are for adults to accumulate 150 minutes per week of moderate intensity physical activity.

In this Call to Action, find out about how your community can help you be more physically active and healthy overall. The Utah Department of Health and its partners are pleased to present the Utah Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan Design Guide (PDF). This Guide has been designed to provide local cities and towns the tools that they need to make their community a place where the active choice is the healthy choice.
Youth Physical Activity: The Role of Communities
This Youth Physical Activity: The Role of Communities fact sheet reviews the benefits of youth physical activity, provides statistics on youth participation in physical activity, and emphasizes how community organizations can support physical activity.
Example of use: Community organizations that promote physical activity for youth (such as the YMCA and Boys and Girls Clubs of America) could give this fact sheet to individuals who provide after-school or community-based physical activity programs to youth.

Let's Move Cities, Towns and Counties is designed to encourage mayors and elected officials to adopt a long-term, sustainable and holistic approach to fighting childhood obesity. Mayors and elected officials can be the leaders on this effort across the country and with all of us working together, this problem can be solved. This initiative recognizes that every city is different, and every town will require a distinct approach to the issue.
