The purpose of the special hunt permit drawings is to distribute special hunting opportunities beyond that which are available through the general hunting seasons. Information
The purpose of the raffles is to generate revenue for the management of game species. Proceeds from the sale of single-species raffle permits will be used solely for the management and benefit of the species for which the raffle ticket was purchased. Proceeds from the sale of multiple-species raffle permits will be used for general game management. Raffle tickets are available for: deer, elk, bighorn sheep, moose, mountain goat, and turkey. Multiple tickets for each hunt can be purchased. The raffle drawing is done by computer.
- Buckrun LHP Deer Raffle
The Buckrun LHP conducts a public drawing for deer hunting opportunity. Ten winners are drawn, each receiving an "any deer" permit valid for hunting on Buckrun LHP property in northern Grant County. Raffle tickets are $25 each and there is no limit to the number of tickets you can purchase. The multiple-season hunting permit allows a hunter to hunt with all three weapon types, archery, muzzleloader, and modern-firearm during the general hunting seasons for deer and/or elk. Learn more >>
Auction
Permit Hunts
Permit hunt auctions are held each year to generate revenue
to be used solely for the management of the species for
which the auction permit hunt is sold. Auctions may be held
for: deer, elk, bighorn sheep, moose, and mountain goat.
The
auctions are held on a contract basis with wildlife oriented
non-profit organizations.

Incentive Permit Hunts
Incentive permits are offered to winners of a computer drawing
of those hunters that submitted their big game and turkey
hunting reports in a timely fashion for the previous hunting
season. The permit hunts available to the winners are:

2 Westside Elk Incentive Permit Hunts
2 Eastside Elk Incentive Permit Hunts
Hunter
Education Instructor Incentive Permit Hunts
These permit hunts are awarded to randomly selected qualified
Washington hunter education instructors as a reward to the
participants and an incentive to hunters to become hunter
education instructors. The permit hunts are determined by
the Fish and Wildlife Commission along with the number of
permits available each year.
