Executive Leadership


The JAC’s Executive Office is made up of the Executive Director, General Counsel, and other key staff that facilitate information to and from JAC’s key stakeholders.

Alton L. "Rip" Colvin, Jr., Executive Director

Alton L. “Rip” Colvin, Jr., the Justice Administrative Commission’s Executive Director, began his tenure on July 19, 2010. He is both a Certified Public Accountant and Florida Certified Government Finance Officer, and earned his designation as a Certified Public Manager. Mr. Colvin previously worked with the Florida Legislature for 18 years, including five years as the Executive Director of the Florida Legislative Committee on Intergovernmental Relations, ten years as a Legislative Analyst with the Legislative Auditing Committee, and over two years as an auditor with the Office of the Auditor General.

Ana Cristina "Cris" Martinez, General Counsel

Effective August 15, 2011, Ana Cristina “Cris” Martinez became JAC’s General Counsel. Cris comes to the JAC from the Florida Department of Education where she served as an Assistant General Counsel. Her legal experience also includes service to the Legislative Committee on Intergovernmental Relations, the Constitution Revision Commission, the Attorney General’s Office, and as a former law clerk to Justice Ben F. Overton of the Florida Supreme Court. Cris is a graduate of the University of Florida’s College of Law and recently earned her designation as a Certified Public Manager.
