Public Records Request Policy

In order to maintain compliance with the Louisiana Public Records Law (LSA R.S. 44:1 et. seq.), all requests for the viewing or copies of public records maintained by the Louisiana State Board of Examiners of Interior Designers shall be submitted to the Board in writing using the Public Records Request Form. The Public Records Request Form must be submitted through the United States Postal Service via certified mail addressed to the Board.

Emailed requests cannot be accepted.
COST:
Upon receipt of a request, the Louisiana State Board of Examiners of Interior Designers will forward an invoice to the requestor. The production of a record, in response to a subpoena or otherwise, shall be at a cost of 25 cents a page for paper copies. Louisiana state agencies will not be billed for public records requests. The Louisiana State Board of Examiners of Interior Designers can receive funds only by personal check, money order, or cashier's check. Once funds are received, the requested items will be mailed.
CONFIDENTIALITY:
The Louisiana State Board of Examiners of Interior Designers shall protect the confidentiality of the licensees and take the necessary steps to ensure that all checks and balances are followed before any information is disseminated.
