Enforcement

The Mississippi Department of Transportation Office of Law Enforcement is responsible for enforcing Mississippi's size, weight and load laws, fuel tax laws, privilege license laws, and the collection of these taxes.

The Office of Enforcement is organized into two divisions; Enforcement and Administration: (Reporting directly to the Office of Enforcement Director is the Investigative Section and Emergency Services Section.)

1.) The Enforcement Division consists of Commercial Motor Vehicle Enforcement, Rails Inspection, Training, Communications, Fuel Fraud and Property Management.

2.) The Administration Division consists of Over-Dimensional Permits, Scales Maintenance, Appeals Board, Personnel, and Unified Carrier Registration.
